At the joint meeting of the world wide branches of Hartley College Past Pupils Association namely Point Pedro, Colombo, U.K, Canada & U.S.A, New South Wales (Australia) and Victoria (Australia), held on 28th July 2002, at Galadari Hotel in Colombo, it was decided to jointly establish a Trust called “Hartley College PPA Trust” in order to coordinate the school redevelopment efforts and the delegates elected seven members to constitute the Trust in addition to the Principal, pending legal registration.

Subsequently the respective branches reaffirmed the formation of Trust and the appointment of the Trustees at their respective membership meetings.

The legal registration of the Trust was eventually completed in December 2003.

The Trustees welcome, your comments and suggestions in developing a point of arrival statement for the school, and your pledges in whatever form, towards the rebuilding efforts.

Dr.Rathan Subramaniam, a past pupil currently based in the U.S.A, has offered to set up a scholarship scheme valued at Rs.1 Million.
World Food Organisation has stepped in to build a new Kitchen at a cost of Rs.2 Million
Foundation Stone laid for new Auditorium, funded by the Ministry of Education on land purchased by the Trust
SDC, a Swiss based NGO has stepped in to provide funding. Assistance includes staff room, additional class rooms and sports centre.
